Local Adventures: Chasing Waterfalls with prAna

I’m not an outdoorsy girl by any means. Consider me the sit at home and binge watch shows on Netflix or get dressed up and go to dinner with my friends kind of girl. Every so often though, I like to challenge myself to step out of my comfort zone and do something different.

A few months ago while I was perusing on Pinterest, trying to find some local spots that would be a decent backdrop for some pictures, I stumbled upon a beautiful waterfall that I HAD to visit. Outside or no outside, there are just some parts of God’s creation that you gotta see.

I reiterate I’m NOT an outdoor lover. I don’t even like to sit outside. Nevertheless, I dedicated my off day to being a woods woman for a few hours. Obviously, when I decided to go on my little nature adventure, I had nothing to wear. My closet is literally full of heels, dresses, skirts and sheer. None of which is appropriate woods wear. So when prAna sent me these cute pieces, I literally thought, “this is going to be perfect for my waterfall adventure.” They’re fashionable (always my number one), comfortable (a close second) and made for activity in mind. Told ya’ll it was exactly what I needed.

I’ve been making more of a conscious decision to pay better attention to the clothes I wear and what it does to people and the planet — you can read more about that here. So the fact that their products are sustainable, made of organic cotton, hemp and recycled materials makes feel like I’m making good on my commitment. They are not lying when they say they are all about giving back more than we take from the world.

As for my woodland journey? I thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s safe to say that I’ll be doing this again; outside itsn’t all that bad.

Don’t worry I recorded the whole thing. Watch me awkwardly fumble outside below! And make sure to use code S17BLTR at prAna for 15% OFF.
