My Month Away

I’m back. By popular demand.

I’m sure most of you have forgotten about me because that’s how the Internet work. If you ain’t posting, nobody’s checking for you. Fingers crossed that some of you were curious about where I’ve gone.

You may or may not  have noticed that I haven’t been on the blog since August. Well, for the month of September I decided to take a break and get my life together. I really wanted to focus on better organizing myself for the last quarter of 2016 and gearing up for the new school year (I’m in graduate school). And let me tell you, the month break was really helpful. I didn’t feel like I was in a race with the clock to get everything in my life done. I sorta-kinda-in a way figured out a weekly schedule for myself that helps me manage blogging, work and school.

Now let me catch you up to speed with what I did and where I am now:

  1. I took a break from social media. I realized that it took up too much of my time and I was starting to fall into a rabbit hole of comparison. I work as a social media manager so the break obviously wasn’t a perfect one, but I did the best I could to cut out all of the noise. [Read: Finding Spiritual Steadiness in Online Chaos]
  2. I got more intentional about my health. I looked at the Pedometer app on my iPhone one day and saw that I wasn’t even hitting 1,000 steps a day. Thats really unhealthy! [Read: 4 Simple Things I’m Doing to be Healthier]
  3. I started my 3rd semester of graduate school. Pray for me guys, it’a a lot!
  4. I had a mini breakdown. Don’t worry I’m all good now. [Read: Relax, Relate & Release]
  5. I wrote lots of new blogs posts and took lots of pretty pictures!

Yeah that pretty much sums up my month. Even if you didn’t miss me, I missed you guys and I’m excited to end out the year with a bang!

  2. I definitely noticed you were gone but I kinda figured you were taking a break. Breaks are GOOD and NECESSARY to help you gain clarity. Glad to see you back, and praying that all goes well with Grad school.
